About Me
My name is Ronit Schorr. I’ve been a science nerd all my life, studying a wide variety of topics both in school and on my own. I excelled in both my high school AP and college sciences courses (including in biology, chemistry, and paleontology). I listen to multiple science podcasts for pleasure, and currently work at the Springfield Science Museum. For me, science is fun and I enjoy making it interesting to other people!
I have over a decade of experience tutoring and teaching in non-traditional settings, including two years as a teaching assistant for high school earth science. I am experienced and comfortable working with neurodivergent people, and with students ranging in age from middle school to graduate school.
I speak moderate/advanced conversational Spanish and learned science in both English and Spanish at the bilingual elementary and middle schools I attended. In my spare time I also enjoy making art, training horses, and acting in community theater productions.
First sessions take place over zoom or in one of three locations to be chosen upon scheduling. Expect to hear from me within 48 hours of booking your first session.
